HRH Princess of Wales visits Sebby's Corner

We are thrilled to share The Princess of Wales visited our new hub today to kickstart an initiative from The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to provide support to families with young children in the run up to Christmas.

During her visit, The Princess heard about the crucial work we do to get essential items to families, including clothing, nappies, toiletries and baby equipment. The Princess met a mother who had been supported by Sebby’s Corner and discussed the difference this support has made to her family. Her Royal Highness joined Giovanna Fletcher in putting the final touches to our annual Christmas pop-up shop. This unique shop allows parents to choose gifts for their children but at no cost so they can experience Christmas and receive gifts that they otherwise might not. We are expecting to give out over 4,000 new gifts

to families in need in the coming weeks.

Finally, The Princess joined a conversation with our Founder and CEO Bianca Sakol MBE, along with representatives from the Baby Bank Alliance and other Baby Banks from across the UK to discuss the increasing demand on services.

Bianca Sakol MBE, Founder and CEO of Sebby’s Corner said ‘I am honoured to have been asked to host her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales at Sebby’s Corner. We are excited to showcase the work we do as an essential service for families in need. Living in poverty can make it harder to provide the essentials, the experiences, and opportunities that children need to develop and thrive. With Christmas just around the corner it can be an even more stressful time for families; we hope to relieve some of this stress and bring some much-needed Christmas joy. We are delighted the Princess was able to help us prepare for the hundreds of families we will supporting this festive season.’
